Hi guys,

I bought this car a fair while ago now. I planned to fix it up and use as a daily driver but I never really finished it.
The car is actually a Japanese model (obviously due to the Auto trans) however I nicked the J-Spec bumpers off of it to put on my car (A-Spec).
So it's a J-Spec with A-Spec bumpers haha!
I'm really just tired of seeing it in my yard and freaking out everytime a hail storm comes over.
I bought the car with a blown engine (valve collision). I got a new head for it and chucked it on. The car runs fine, however it blows alot blue/white smoke.
I'm really not sure if it's the turbo seal or the valve stem seals (the most smoke is seen when free-revved). I can't remember if I had the stem seals replaced when I had the head decked or not..
The cylinder's are in excellent shape. They still had their factory cross-hatching all around, however the clyinder head is from a Hyundai Sonata.
The boot lid has some tree sap on it that I can't remove, nor really ever tried to remove haha
And the previous owner drilled some holes in the front bumper for an offset number plate.
That's all I can think of atm.
I'm not sure of the odometer, can look if someone is interested.

Oh btw my mate Timmy (brisvr4) believes that the car may be a rebirth, however it was previously registered here in QLD and when I tried calling the Dept. of Transport regarding the issue, they couldn't find anything wrong with it when I quoted the VIN to them..
So the moral of the story is, DOT is pretty useless haha
I'm jk Rob! :p
Pretty sure there would be no issues getting it registered.

Any questons, PM me :)

Price: $1,500 Firm

Alot of views, but no comments.
Is the pricing too high?
I thought it was pretty fair..
I could be wrong though...again haha
Anyhow, it does say 'ono'. :)

just curious, did you swap fenders too? Jspecs doesnt have fender repeaters.

He Swapped them over its in the first post

Good luck with the sale Mo

Thanks guys.
What do you think of the pricing?
I was going to put new valve stem seals in the head, but I'm too busy these days. :(

Dasithkg - I actually swapped the bars, the headlights, the indicators, and the fender (because I liked the little green foglight thingies on the Jap model :)).
I rewired everything except for the foggies, which I was going to trigger with a switch inside the cabin. I didn't get around to it obviously, but could help the new owner do it if they wanted to.

Btw the odometer reads 154,000.

Bump.

Might have to eBay this. Was hoping to sell it on here but I'm getting reamed just for having it here lol

P.S - with Aldo's help (and alot of money :p) this would be one formidable drag car!

Shame about the bumper bars. :(

Yeah, A-Specs are fugly hey!
That is however the reason that I'm selling it for a very reasonable price.
It has a clean interior as well. I'd have taken photo's but I'm using the car as storage for car parts lol

shame your not in melb mate.

is there any way you can find out what is causing the smoke mate may be interested it it was not a problem as it would be nice to drive back down to melb with

I took the exhaust manifold off and ran it. It didn't produce white smoke like it usually does, just black! Lol
Maybe it was the turbo seal? I dunno, I couldn't be stuffed tbh hey, I'm just tired of looking at it.
That's why I'm selling it cheap. Tbh man I wouldn't be comfortable letting you drive it to Melbourne, it's been sitting in my yard for two years, anything could happen.

By the way guys, I had had to get something out of the boot and saw that I took the ABS ECU out and misplaced it, whoops.... :|
For this reason, the fact that the exhaust manifold is pulled off and I CBF putting it back on (don't have the time) and I forgot that I took some interior pieces from it a while ago - price drop to $1,500 (not negotiable).

Cheers.
