Hi guys,
I bought this car a fair while ago now. I planned to fix it up and use as a daily driver but I never really finished it.
The car is actually a Japanese model (obviously due to the Auto trans) however I nicked the J-Spec bumpers off of it to put on my car (A-Spec).
So it's a J-Spec with A-Spec bumpers haha!
I'm really just tired of seeing it in my yard and freaking out everytime a hail storm comes over.
I bought the car with a blown engine (valve collision). I got a new head for it and chucked it on. The car runs fine, however it blows alot blue/white smoke.
I'm really not sure if it's the turbo seal or the valve stem seals (the most smoke is seen when free-revved). I can't remember if I had the stem seals replaced when I had the head decked or not..
The cylinder's are in excellent shape. They still had their factory cross-hatching all around, however the clyinder head is from a Hyundai Sonata.
The boot lid has some tree sap on it that I can't remove, nor really ever tried to remove haha
And the previous owner drilled some holes in the front bumper for an offset number plate.
That's all I can think of atm.
I'm not sure of the odometer, can look if someone is interested.
Oh btw my mate Timmy (brisvr4) believes that the car may be a rebirth, however it was previously registered here in QLD and when I tried calling the Dept. of Transport regarding the issue, they couldn't find anything wrong with it when I quoted the VIN to them..
So the moral of the story is, DOT is pretty useless haha
I'm jk Rob!
Pretty sure there would be no issues getting it registered.
Any questons, PM me
