Hey guys,

My latest package arrived from the USA today

I got one from Punishment Racing in New York and one from Extreme PSI.

I got the dump pipe from Punishment Racing, its the first thing I've bought from them. The quality of the dump is fantastic! The tig welds all look great and the flanges are all 1/2" thick. It definately looks a lot better quality than my old one. It was only about US$120 too! Apparently its the first part they've shipped to Australia. I highly recommend them, great customer service, and more importantly, great product and pricing!

It turns out that PTE gave me a brand new SCM-5031e turbo too. Along with it came my JM Fabrications heat shield and catch can, along with an inline filter for my oil feed line, insulation for the oil line and a few other bits and pieces.

Mat :)

its still gonna be from the filter housing but im putting an inline filter in the line and also insulating it to hopefully help keep the oil a bit cooler, as the line runs right past the dump pipe

What was your shipping costs?

For that mild steel painted re-circulating one its only $129.

At least 2 of us in this household alone are interested!

GB availability?

Dump looks nice and catch can looks good! I'm trying to find a nice dump and front pipe aswell as a catch can too. I don't want a screamer.
Well done on the new turbo, it's great to hear they looked after you!

Cheers. The thing is with this MHI B16g I got from the US I asked for it to be ported.....but when I opened it up it has been ported and clipped. My question to any of you is that there is now no poin of me running a seperate wastegate runner is there? Having a dump with the wastegate runner is just gonna make the flange completely disrupt air flow. So should I just get a 3" single style one?
Unless maybe I dremelled the flange to not be flat, but more of a angle to help the air around it.

Thoughts?

Why wouldnt you by a turbo locally, intsead getting a turbo shipped at the way from the states

Just curious???

Some how i feel like that was directed at me

Yea i know i know, ive pulled the finger out and things are getting done after a little time away from lashing money on the shit.

Im back on the buzz 8)

Serious, there are heaps of places you can get a huffer from....

And what better than a Garrett :D

Just curious, are they that much cheaper in the states?

It's not the price, its because we can get turbos that bolt onto the standard manifold and dump pipe

Well a big 16g from GTpumps is $1304 plus postage
My Ported genuine big 16g with enlarged wastegate and clipped was US$650. Plus shipping wasn't that bad cos' I got heaps of stuff from the same company.

No one answered my question....

jonson, i'd probably go custom if i were you, and have the flange modified so you didn't have the "bit" between the wastegate port and turbine outlet port and have a kind of "collector" at the entrance of the dump pipe without a split in the pipes, if that makes any sense whatsoever!
