Hi everyone. I have a early model gsr (93). From everyone that I have spoke to it seems as if it revs a lot higher through gears than what it should. 5th gear at 100 is at around 3250-3300 rpm. 4thbgear is at 4100. Now I have checked the gearbox and the code matches up to a gsr gearbox code. So could this possibly mean the centre and rear diff has been changed?

If someone could please make sense of this for me that would be great :)

sounds closer to evo ratios, front and rear cw&p may have been changed?? or are you running 10" rims?

Shit Brian/George, don't say that. They are the sort of numbers I get at those speeds with mine, about 3250 @ 100 GPS speed on a 17inch

Hmmm maybe it's time to check the numbers, I figured that was normal.

Yeah agreed. Just means instead of the new rear diff I HAVE to have for the EvoIII gearbox change, it becomes the spare rear diff it's GOOD to have! (Brian understands this).

I'll need to confirm this. I have plenty of video and data that I can confirm what my rev V's speed is, but really need to confirm what a standard 93 GSR is rotating at when at 100.

Sounds about on par with mine aswell an I doubt that I managed to land evo gear front and rear from two separate sellers as gsr

Licky, Kyles is FWD

Deffinately doesn't sound like 3.545 ratios, u should see 3000rpm at 100klm/h if it was 3.545

um i havn't been fwd for 6 months!

Share the drugs dude!

I looked at my Haltech data and I'm the same as Licky. About 3280 @ 100km/h

All the casing stamps say GSR. Rear diff is coming out soon so might count the teeth. Unexpected happy ending if it's a 3.9.
