Someone pushed "eject" on my exhaust tip!!

Backing down the drive this morning when my back wheels went up and over something in the driveway....

Turned out to be my exhaust tip, still connected to the wire mesh from inside the muffler!!

I've never seen this before - can it be fixed, or am I up for a new muffler?

if you have the time and patience i think it could be fixed.......and repacked at the same time. the key is cost to do the job......is a new one a better solution for peace of mind?

Wow, I've never seen that happened before.

What brand is that muffler ?

Might be best to replace it as rewelding that back on will not be as strong as when it was new.

seams to be the welding has cracked the entire way round the tip.....

Sounds bloody loud! Probably sounds a lot better outside than in - very droney in the cabin after a while...

Only just bought the car off of some guy, who's now gone on an overseas working holiday, so I can't find out if the exhaust is still under warranty or not...

i wouldnt keep your hopes up on warranty, cause they will say some bs to try and not replace it etc...... does it have monza stamped on the top of it??
