Spotted: FTO wrecking x 2

Deer Park Car Wreck have 2 Mitsubishi FTO on the yard.
1 with 4cylinder engine.
and
1 with 2L Mivec engine plus TEIN suspension setup.

For all that didnt know, the MIVEC FTO uses the twin pot front brake calipers, same as EVO1/2/3

And... u can use the front control arms and struts on your CC Lancer, just drill out another hole in your strut tower unless u own an EVO, they already should have a 3rd hole there

Seen a few EVO's with 3 holes in the strut tower, 1 hole has a round sticker over it

You'd have to redrill all three holes.

FTOs and CE Lancers have them at the 1 and 5 o'clock with the third hole at roughly 8.30, where the Evo 1-3 has them 12,6 and 9 o'clock .

Both being the drivers side tower.

Heres a CC lancer with Tein FTO coils. Notice the CC series strut brace redrilled to suit.

Im sure my mates had FTO coilovers in his VR4 in NZ - had to redrill the fronts also

that's nathan's car isn't it? they're are proper 3 stud evo 3 aftermarket struts not fto ones. Remember his evo was a rally car so had all the good stuff in it

anyone close to the FTO should check out the stereo surround and all plastic consoles under it.. They all crack pretty easily, and the FTO guys on ftoaustralia.com pay good dosh for one..... Set me back $300 for 2 new ones...

you can use fto hubs for 5stud conversion on your CC as well

But if you're running AWD, you will need to get your rear hubs redrilled to 5stud.

Mik that is the photo that was/is doing my head in. As you can see, the strut top bolts form an isosceles triangle (2 side equal length). If you take a took at the fto and ce top hat they form an equilateral triangle (all sides equal length).

What I have noticed on the genuine evo's is that there is a grommet in the strut tower so suit a top hat like what is in your post...

Anyone shed some light on this? I believe that I read somewhere on the internets that it is for Ralliart struts?
