the top one will need modifications (wastegate pipe...) but will allow the turbo to sit close to the previous position

the bottom one will need major mods to the dump pipe, intake pipe , cooler piping...

decisions..

that one from driven looks like the ss autochrome, same as the top on in the pic..

Just be CAREFUL. Most on the market are cheapass thin walled stainless crap that fails, cracks or breaks with very little usage. Do a search in the forum and you'll find a few discussions about them as the subject turns up quite often. You are just going to have to do a lot of research first before handing over the $$

that shearer one looks hot..

its gonna either be that or the dnp one..

decisions decisions!!!

or ss autochrome!...

go the shearer one baz........!

the full race one looks good too, .... but you cant go past lifetime warranty I reckon 8)

Taco, what are you doing to me?
thats a weeks wage there  ...
but sure looks good!!
i've emailed them asking about clearance on the vr4.
see how it goes..

fark... i wish my current setup was suitable.. so i could stop wasting dosh

warranty will be to expensive to use..

ship here
ship back
ship here
ship back..

i doubt they'll fork out for it..
but i still like it..
sits the turbo in a similar position to what the turbonetics sat the turbo..
the Dnp ones moves it too much to the left... but the Dnp is cheaper..

farrrrrrrrk....

any advice evo-00x?

Well since you asked... You want a Garrett manifold eh?

Honestly mate I fukd around for months looking for a manifold and gave up on the stainless ones because of the bad quality a lot have been notorious for. After speaking to some guys I know in the metal industry and seeing a couple crack and break in person it threw me off buying one - it's too much of a gamble buying over the internet as you dont know what you paid for until it arrives on your doorstep and if its a thin wall version you're fukd  . Some blokes have been lucky enough to get away with good ones that havent given them any grief with over 12 months use but its hit'n'miss without seeing it in your hands first before handing over your hard earned $$$$ .

I bit the bullet and ended up getting my mate Mikey custom make me a tuned length steampipe manifold and it come out great (see link: http://evocoupe.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1952&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90 ). He charges $750 for Garrett flange manifolds with 45mm external gate adapter. All up mine with ceramic coating of the manifold and turbine housing was just under $1100!!! and I couldnt be happier :D Someone else you can try is http://6boost.com/ who custom made Rob Barac's manifold and netted Rob something like 50hp atw bolt on and more with tuning thereafter (think it was 80hp atw with nothing more than a manifold change and tune). For around $1000 6Boost will sell you one of his designs (you can see them in Performance Forums and he also sells them to horsepowerinabox: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/category15_1.htm ). He will make you a Garrett manifold with x/wg adapter and supply a new exhaust manifold gasket to suit. Whoever you get to make you one just make sure they know how to make a merge collector properly!! very important!! Here's pics of Rob Barac's manifold that 6Boost sent me  (PS: I think Mikey's design is pretty good too!)

On the other hand if you have your heart set on a good quality stainless manifold IMO contact MENG in Australia http://www.mengheader.com.au/Home/home/Meng-Home . They get theirs made in Taiwan/Thailand cant remember and they are better stainless quality and have thicker runners. For a little extra they can bring in a 3mm thick stainless runner version for you. Price from $1300+ though  MENG also supply one of the NZ distributors on NZMMC (FBI Performance) who have sold a number of these manifolds under the name "TRR" and they have been proven on the track. Best thing is that you are dealing with someone in Australia just in case of any warranty etc :D In the US you can get Shearer http://www.shearermotorsport.com/products/sf-02005.htm who make great manifolds, BUT stay away from MeganRacing as they are the Chinese crap as the bloke will lie to you and try and tell you otherwise  )

Another alternative is to go cast manifold. In American EBay you can pick up Turbonetics manifolds http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4G63...ryZ33632QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem , or even bargains like this REV HARD manifold http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rev-...4QQihZ020QQcategoryZ33632QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem which went for only $150US!!! They have a 38mm wastegate adapter on both so you can run a Tial etc or block it off with a plate if you arent running one

I hope I gave you some useful info that might help you make a decision :) I wish someone wrote all this sh!t out for me months ago as it would have saved me a lot of wasted time
