hi guy's, I have just replaced all my intercooler piping and my vr4 has developed ap problem where whenever i go to accelerate quickly the car stalls straight away. if i accelerate slowly its fine. i've checked all piping and there are no leaks

any help appreaciated.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like you have a boost leak.....

What pipe do you have coming directly off the turbo? If the face isn't completely flat, it will leak out of there....

Just looking and feeling the joints isn't usually enough, I'd do a boost leak test just to make certain.
Does it stall if you just free-rev it or is it just under load?

yeah it is stalling under free rev, any sudden acceleration. a nice gradual acceleration has no ill affects.

the piping from the turbo right up to just before the intercooler is stock. from there its an evo eight mr intercooler then 2 1/2 inch pipe to the throttle body utilizing joiners and piping. from the afm to the turbo is made up of piping and joiners as well

Ok mate, i am almost 100% sure you should be resetting your BISS screw, with bigger piping you get more air flow so therefore idle is put out, so resetting the biss adjusting the biss screw should sort it,i had the same problem as you.
It also says it on vfaq look under - intake then scroll down to - Idle Speed adjustment (BISSscrew)

i have the cable however my palm notebook dosent seem or software dosent seem to pick up that the car is connected

Got my pda working and the car threw up three codes. a coolant sensor switch i fixed but also threw up barometric preasure sensor and intake air temp sensor. Does this mean my airflow meter is rooted?
