start off gear 1 problem

hey guys my car is starting to make a jerking movement when i slowly get out of gear 1, like when it reaches friction point it just jerks on me, i thought it was clutch slipping so i bought a new clutch for my car (exedy heavy duty cant wait for that) but my mate reckons its my diff so im not to sure what you guys reckon.... everygear afterwards is all good just gear 1!!!??

Could be your LSD. What fluid you running? A mechanic recently told me we shouldn't run LS-90 as our diff doesn't get hot enough or hit friction point as easily on it, however that said, my car seems ok with LS90.
Your mate could be right, but reality is, unless you try things, you won't know.
