go to any Bob Jane Tmart and just ask. They have a transport dept. rims and tyres assoc. manual it give you all the legal fitments of types to the rims widths.
Any good tyre store should have this manual. Yes you can go wider than what the book says, but the tyre will wear more uneven and not handle as well as they should.
I only did that for a job for 10 years. But seriously get your self a set of 15" wheels at least, even 2nd hand ones. the car will handle 10 times better and at least you can get a "performance" tyre in that size
14's .... nar waste of your money
**** i think you can get a set of NEW 15" with new tyres for under $600 bucks, damn even on interest free if you have too.
