It really depends on the car mate. What is legal for one car is not necessary legal for another. Call the department of Road and Transport in your state, specify the make and model of your car and they will soon tell you the minimum size you can legally fit to your car. Also, I might add that the steering wheel must be ADR approved...!!! :)

yeah coz i got a shitty little autotechnica one, its ugly, but i love the size coz its so small... probably smaller then a 12inch sub even - and if i were to replace one, i'd want one of similar size..

coz im not exactly a big person, and a big steering wheel would make me feel like im driving a bus... :D

Fair enough mate as long as you're aware that it's an open invitation for a defect... :) I would be suprised if even 330mm is legal on many cars.

STEERING WHEELS
4.9.1 Steering wheel designs must not depart from the generally accepted construction
of steering wheels that have been designed for motor vehicles. All steering
wheels must be designed and constructed to sound engineering principles
novelty steering wheels will not be accepted. The centre boss, spokes or rim of
the steering wheel must not have sharp edges or hazardous projections. It is
recommended that propriety manufactured steering wheels are used.
4.9.2 The minimum size of a steering wheel, measured from centre to centre of the rim,
is 13 inches or 330mm.

Fair enough. It's a little different here in South Australia... :p

A non-standard steering wheel may be fitted to passenger cars and derivatives manufactured prior to 1971.
Steering wheels, which are more than 26 millimetres smaller or larger than the original steering wheel, are not
acceptable. Smaller steering wheels result in increased effort on the steering wheel that may have a
detrimental effect on vehicle handling particularly in an emergency situation. When selecting a replacement
steering wheel ensure that it is firmly padded and is constructed such that it will bend on impact with out
splintering or cracking and that no parts of the wheel are loose or cracked

Thank God I didnt even check My new OMP steering wheel and its 330mm thank God :)

LOL..

OMP might be 330mm BUT.. does it have a soft centre ie, cover and not just metal and horn button? If it is soft centred, then its not Road Worthy :) and cops will pull you up on this , happened to my cousin.

I was suprised when the authorities let me though with one of these...albeit, it is ADR approved...
