isnt the boost on a stock 93t regulated through the wastegate? i dont think there is actually a boost controller like you would find turbosmart etc selling
sorry to raise the dead, but can someone give us a pic. i have the solonoid and the funny bracket and found the wires to plug it too. but what bolt holes does it bolt to?
post a pic, maybe the jumbuck doesnt even have the right holes
hose off the actuator to a T piece, 1 side goes to stock boost controller, the other side to intercooler pipe, the other nipple on boost controller to the intake pipe between turbo and afm
allows the ecu to control the boost at any level higher than the wastegate actuater pressure. at the level, it will allow boost to pass through the solonoid to the wastegate actuater. it is also required if you have a EBC. it allows greater control of boost and should get to full boost earlier in rev range as the wastegate isnt creeping open as it gets close to its rated pressure. everything that is good with a EBC will apply (if the ecu has the boost set where you want it)
what does the one khubner has pics of do? does it drop feul pressure when engine is shut down for some reason? or maybe it supplies boost pressure to the fpr to make it a rising rate fpr?
Interesting.. but does not makes sense for what and how I have it setup.. (no biggee)
as above... mine is not connected pneumatically... therefore sensing no pressure...
I have been using Eboost 1 for years now and Factory ECU chipped / hacked and tuned... Very similar to ECM-link I believe... and running above 20psi....
The EBC should handle how fast it gets to boost, boost creep and any spike issues (all change-able in the settings of the EBC)..
As for the pic from khubner1... the solenoid shown on the very right of the picture is the one mounted to the firewall... again... mine is electrically connected but the vacuum tube loops from the bottom up to the side port.. sensing nothing...
ah HA! that what that one was for. lol i'm using it to power my boost guage. constant 12v power supply only on while running made sense. maybe i should change that.
