Hey Guys,

My road car has been stolen. Happened yesterday (Tuesday 25th Sept 2007) at Hornsby Westfield (NSW) between 1:25 and 2:45pm. There hasn't been a car stolen from the carpark there in 2 years apparently.

The car is a 1993 Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, AWD Turbo, red in colour, NSW rego MY1770. The car is in immaculate condition, only 89000km and I am the 2nd owner. It is an ex-club/race/rally car and has several distinctive dents and marks underneath including all mounting points where the rollcage was previously bolted - ie it's blatantly obvious it was a race/rally car if you look at the floor underneath it. The car otherwise looks standard.

If you hear or see anything please contact me on 0415 583 306 and call the police. If any people can spread the word around please do. I would really like my car back!

hornsby westfield huh? my mate used to park at the miranda westfield in his green GSR, and they ripped off his whole stereo system... and they smashed the shit out of his alarm siren... he didnt park there again... cant trust shopping centre car parks

id be scared to own a red gsr, another friend of mine had his red gsr stolen from work at north ryde.. he didnt have any car security though

did your car have an immobiliser or anything??

Hmm.. so there most be an asshole with a red GSR going around searching for "spare panels". Find the prick with the red GSR, go to his house.
 
GSR94T how long ago did your mates red GSR go? and has it come back?? I live in that area...

I will keep a lookout around south Sydney area, i can spot a GSR a mile away, but i'm sure we all can!

Does that Westfields carpark have any security video that they could give to police or anything like that?

ah it wasnt heaps recently.. maybe 18 months ago

and no... never came back...

did you have any immobilisers or anything
 
Hmm, I think Hornsby Westfield will be getting an abusive phone call tomorrow.

They told me at the time they have cameras on the carpark exits, but the footage was only used to capture rego numbers and would be pretty useless. I think I will ask to see the footage myself and make up my own mind.

Time to park some bait there with about 20 mates waiting/hiding and when they get in everyone get the SOB and hopefully we'll be able to find the other stolen cars if they're not in bits.
 
Someone knows your car thats why they stole it, either someone from this forum or other forum seen your car. They knew totally it was turbo etc.
