Hey guys its time for some new tyres, these are going to be used only for the street at this stage. I am after a 195/??/15 or a 205/??/15 for stock Evo 3 rims, any suggestions? I had a set of Falken ST115s a long time ago and they were excellent but they dont seem to make them any more. I have recently had C.drives and Yoko Advans(not sure what type). So I am looking for something in that class in the $200 range roughly.

Any suggestions?

i currently use Bridgestone Adrenalin RE001 .. they arent too bad.

Going to be trying the Toyo T1R's for my next set though...

I think they are all around the 200ea mark.. maybe even cheaper.

I have Kumho KU31 Ecsta SPT's. Not a bad overall tyre without spending big $$$.
However a mate of mine went from Bridgestone Adrenalin RE001's to Kumho KU36's in his R34 Skyline and said the Adrenaline's were a heaps more grippier tyre. You pay for the good stuff.

If you want a cheap set of Kumho's you cant go wrong buying from the internet through Option1Garage in QLD. When I bought mine local shops were charging $208 each tyre. Option1 charged me $118 each from memory and only $50 or so delivery for all 4. Do the math :)

i can vouch for the Kumho's too, they are a reasonably good tyre, that provide good dry grip & impressive, predictble wet driving also. good midrange tyre at budget cost :)

Ive got Maxis MA-V1 on my car. They seem to be on every car with new rims or riced up lancer and commodore, so im thinking they are just a bit of a generic tire.
Would these other tires most you are talking about shit on them?

What i do like about them is i can feel quite progressively when they are going to break away. And in the wet they dont feel scary.

Anyone know online shops that deliver aus wide, like to WA?

KU31's FTW on the street without going for a close semi slick like KU36:thumbsup:

They grip well.

$538 DELIVERED to my door in Townsville!

Eagle F1 gsd3 (the German ones)
- Awesome in the dry
- Even better in the wet. No shit, hands down, these probably have more grip in the wet than they do in the dry. It’s insane!
- look great
- Soft, especially the sidewall
- Didn't last long, well... I guess I abused the grip
- Die past 60% for some reason. All the good qualities of the tyre just disappear, but trust me there worth still worth it.

Michelin pilot SX
- Fantastic but not cheap

Pirelli P-zero
- Great all round grip for the price
- No rim protector, not that it helps when the rim sticks out past the tire Lol.

Ku36
- Cheap
- Takes little to get them going
- Grip like you would expect from partial semi when warmed up, especially around corners.
- Decent life, not expected.
- Nice stiff sidewall
- Look fat as

Nankank NS2,

- Ummm…
- Ummm… Ohh yea that’s right, they have a rim protector.

No probs mate.
If you can find those German Gsd3’s at a good price, don’t look past them for a street car. Especially if there going onto a 2wd as they love shitty Melbourne weather.

For good prices call Rick from Advanced Tyres. He is located Burnley st Richmond 94287699
