Stuffed Air director

Hey guys,

I think ive forked the switch that selects the direction of the air through the aircon/heating system (the one that you select whether you want air to go to your feet/ to demist the windscreen/ or straight out into the cabin).

Yesterday it would only stay on the middle three options (so no air straight out and no demisting), but If I wanted one of these two options, i had to hold the dial in that position - it wouldn't stay there like its supposed to.

Today i stuffed around with it a bit more, and now the switch itself is working correctly, but now the air only comes out the cabin vents no matter what the dial is on :evil:

any ideas?

Sounds like you broke the box. Check to see if the linkage has broken on the box, or the actuator may have cracked, its only plastic.

You may have pulled the clips out that hold the cable in place so the "lever" is moving but the cable isnt moving the other end, it's just floping around

its pretty easy to check,

from memory most of the levers are on the passenger side
