Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my GSR, i cant get it up and over the driveway without badly getting stuck, and i was wondering if anyone has seen an airbag suspension kit to suit a GSR, or alternately any good elec ride height suspension, so i can lift it a few inches. Does anyone know the disadvantages of air suspension? Thanks any help will be appreciated...

planks of wood will do it.. i have to use planks of wood to get my car behind my house into my lil car port..

you guys dont understand, its not the up incline, but when the driveway levels out. about 3/4 along the car bottoms out hard, and thats not even with an exhaust fitted. And before anyone asks why im driving without an exhaust, the answer is im not, i towed it there...Does anyone know and ride height suspension for CC GSR's?

coilovers... that way you can drive around with a height that is suitable for roads and your driveway... then slam it on its arse when you feel like it...

im pretty sure that the handling ability of the car will suffer with airbags...

Bags arnt the best for handling, Get hydolics :D (but you'll never get them engineered)

Probably a set of coilovers is going to be your best bet, but i dont know if any of them are electonic hight ajustment.

sorry to bring up an old topic... but i remember reading somewhere a tuning house in japan had a old school soarer (i think) and they used coilovers with "mini-airbags" on top that inflated when the owner needed to get over speedbumps or into driveways. Then he deflated them and had the benefits of coilies otherwise. This could be an option.

airbags

Tein has a product available for vans only that will lift the front 30mm at the touch of a button.
If you want airbags I have a complete setup that i will sell pm me

bro,
get urself a set of adjustable coilovers....probly bout 1000-1500
change the ride height when u want with a spanner...in ur case leave it high...then when u feel like it take it out of ur driveway and dump it of it nuts.

Just out of curiosity. what sort of bags are they? And who supplied them? Is it a full kit or do you just have the struts? If it is a full kit, what brand and model is the other gear?

I got D2 coilovers, I have the same issue of crappy drivway design as you do, when I had a E3 fibreglass front bar I had my car quite high so I could get in and out of the driveway, since I have E1 front bar now I can have it as low as it can go. only problem with that is speedhumps rip at the exhaust and it has a crack/leak at the moment, prolly will put the car up a bit when I put an E2 lip on as it will get buggered otherwise, Its all easy tho with the coilovers, you can't do it all the time tho as you need to get a wheel alignment each time you change the geometry of your suspension, and at about $75 trade for that I cant afford to do it all the time!
