Hi Guys.

Took my car to Pedders today to see what work is required on my HSG. Looks like I'm up for a few $$$'s :-/

I'm needing new Strut Mounting Plates, Rear Tailshaft Centre Bearing and Rear Engine Mount.

I looked through Complete RVR and previous posts, but could not seem to find part numbers or ideas on where to find them.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers
Brendan

same i went to pedders trying to source out some inform about the car aswell dont even know where to start

was looking to this....

I can see a few things on that site that may be what we need, in terms of suspension.

If I can get part numbers, then the rest shouldn't be too hard.

Wow.. This forum seems to have changed a little over the last 6 months... Guess the guys that used to help have gone.

yeah i kind of thought that too, but i think its more like they have family and its christmas or work where theres no time for forums, when autumn and springs in the guys will peak once again

Yes many guys o/s or on holidays I suspect. I replaced my strutt top mounting plates with adjustables from K-mac in Sydney I think. They have the 3 bolt holes. The rubber in my old plates was badly cracked. I kept the old plates but they are in south australia and I am in darwin so cant check to see if the part number is visible and whether is the same as in early magnas. zthe K-macs were not cheap, about $400 but allowed a more accurate wheel alignment than standard (knackered) strutt tops. cheers.

Theres a guy at the Pedders in Moorooka that did my car, he seemed to know a little bit about them and did a great job. You might have some luck with him (for get his name sorry mate)

Hey CDJ84.

That's the guy I went to :) Mark. He mentioned he did some coilover work for another RVR in the area.

My car needs quite a bit of work. He mentioned he can try and find me the parts, however it will cost alot more $$$'s than if I can source the parts myself.

Might just have to bite the bullet and pay more money.

OR You could buy my suspension for $1500 (cost me about $2500 as Mark had to mess around and sort it all out) its only about 12 months old and will bolt straight in easy as :)

Hmmm. That is very tempting....

What sort of suspension setup do you have?

The fronts are fully adjustable coilovers (damper, height and camber)

The rear are just pedder shocks with lower springs.

The car handled quiet awesome with them. I can email you photos if you want?

You know you want them :p

I made a very good suspension using stock EVO8/9 as a donor! Total cost was around $200 + some welding, which I got for free :). I am now upgrading to EVO8/9 Teins coil overs with camber adjustment. They were also $200 because one of the rear shocks was blown.
