at the moment i have the front of my galant in pieces, and when i bought it i was told the front was on king/konis, the koni bit is right, well it has a koni cartridge inside the factory housing, but the springs are actually Lovells on the front, what are peoples opinion on these, are they better than the kings, etc

I've got lovells in my car - were innit when I bought it.

Handles alright, but one of the rear springs has sagged more than the other (I've had the car for 6 years now, so their quite old).

As for better than kings - hard to say, I wouldn't bother selling them and buying kings though. *shrug*

yep id agree

how different can they be really? All of them are around the same price anyway :p

Lovells USED to make a much better (more consistent) spring than Kings about 10 years ago, I don't know if King Springs have caught up yet or not though. I wouldn't bother changing them either, but I would consider getting the Koni's rebuilt to good as new (Leda Suspension or maybe Accurate Suspension would be my picks of people to talk to for this).

Or, get some threaded collars welded on and convert them to coilovers.

i wasn't looking at changing anything at the moment rob, money is a bit of a problem, just wanted to know peoples opinions of them, i just had them out to replace the strut tops and dust boots, btw the new noltecs fit without any grinding

ok...now i have some problems, the monroe bumpstops and boots don't fit the koni struts like they are meant to, which means the spring hat wont go on far enough for the strut top go on; aka there is no thread sticking through the strut top

no they wont go down further, i had a look on the vfaq and it said to cut the top of them down a bit, which worked a treat,
