I'd think the dyno would cop all sorts of punishment from gear changes and fast launches and won't stay in calibration all that long??
What about front wheel drives?
Or have I got the idea all wrong?

Hi Jeff, i will try and answer some questions for you
When you have 3 cars lined up on the dyno, yes you do take off from the traffic lights together.
Once the race is over, you get like a speed camera flash to say you have finished and then the results (drag tag time) will be up on the screen for spectators to see.
These results are R/T, 1/4 mile time, RWKWs, and the top speed (KMPH) over the 1/4 mile race.
As Neville said, he wont claim Calder or Heathcote times, but he will say they have made them as close as possible.
His times wont show your car will do 12 seconds, then you do go to Calder and do a 15 second pass .
Smoking on the rollers, i dont think that has happened yet, but dont forget this place hasnt opened yet, and the only cars that have been on there are bolt on LS1s.
If you had come for a look you would also notice the way these cars a bolted down onto the dyno there is an electical/mecanical shaft coming up from between the front and rear rollers to hold the car in place, it also pulls the car down to a certain pressure so that all cars are tied down with the same force
I also am guessing that if you had a BIG power car and that happened, there would be more pressure applied to pull the car down tighter.
The dynos are Dyno Dynamics, and they are rated at 1500 hp so i guess they can cope with anything.
I am sure enough that if you had met Neville and the crew there, they would with out doubt they would keep up to date with any calibration issues, these guys are true proffesionals with vision .
They are always experementing with different tracks and street racing ideas that are just images on the screen, these guys have covered this project very well.
The dynos are 4 wheel drive dynos, they can run rear, all 4 wheels and just front as required.
