Td05 16g

Hey guys

If I was to fit a td05 16g to my gsr what else would I need to change to make it run good and how well would it run?

Engine is standard and the ecu is chipped for boost cut and speed cut

u will need to bore out the exhaust manifold to suit the TD05, u will also need the td05 dump pipe... im not sure but u might need to mix and match the water lines and the oil lines.. oh and u will need to get the exhaust rewelded where it bolts to the dump pipe as the GSR flange is smaller and faces about 45 degrees the other way

Ok, would I need to change injectors or anything else besides exhaust and feed lines

Your best setup would be to run the EVO maps on a chipped GSR ECU, EVO 510cc injectors, EVO AFM, and a walbro fuel pump

RVR 510's are 4's I believe.
I'll have to check when I can and confirm. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong.

Would it be possible to use a 14b or 16g front housing and cartridge on my gsr rear housing so I don't have to modify my exhaust? Cause my exhaust is a 3" stainless from the turbo back and the people who had it made before I bought the car paid like 1500 for it and I don't wanna be cutting up such an expensive thing lol

No, the TD05H turbine wheel won't fit in the TD04Ls exhaust housing. Plus half the benefits of upgrading to a TD05H is the larger exhaust housing anyway.

I have a BB T28 with adapter for a a GSR Manifold and a dump pipe to suit as well.

Not easily, the TD04L shaft is a different diameter to the TD05H. Plus a 16G is WAY too much compressor to hang off a TD04L turbine.

Why bother, even a 14b totally wakes up up to when put in an 070 (16g rear) housing instead of its 060 housing.
These cars are restricted by the housings enough already
