hi all,

I have recently got my car back on the road and a recent dyno tune has left me quite dissapointed with 170kw at the wheels from 18psi from RE customs. Does this sound like a good amount of power for the turbo?

Cheers in advanced

I got 20g, 750cc injectors, 3" exhaust, custome cooler setup and intake pipe. Made around 205@tw on 22psi. Turbo can do more but head (mainly cams) is restricting. Hoping for 250 once I do cams :)

i wouldn't be dissapointed, thats not BAD power.
If your car drives well, and your happy with it then don't worry about the dyno figure. its just a rough number and yours seems like its in the ballpark!

cheers for the replies guys 170kw was a safe figure apparently didnt want to strain the motor too much even tho its a forged motor.

It backfires all the time i need to take it back to tune out the problems, should it be safe to run 21 psi?

Not really. More timing+more torque.

The US seem to tune with big boost and low timing figures, which is one of the reasons they can push the stock blocks.

That's a load of shit. Jump on a dyno and tell me if you don't make more torque putting in another 5psi and pull a degree or even 2 per a psi, I have a bunch of dyno sheets/ dyno time that begs to differ. You can limit timing around peak torque and be on the safe side. You can't really take these us numbers too seriously either, if you compare there dyno numbers and MPH to ours we always pull more MPH .
