TEAM 4G drag day - HEATCHOTE - Planning

Hey guys

I'd like to organise another T4G drag day!!
Just wanted to get some suggestions on dates!..

Noobs or regulars.. lets get some numbers..
I may have some guys to sponsor the event and provide prizes for certain catagories etc...

If we get enough interest, I'll try and get some of my WRX friends to pursude the wrx club to battle!

No idea with what happened with jonny's attempt last year, but i'll try to make this happen!..

Possibly cash prizes?????
Parts??
Vouchers???

Are people willing to pay entry plus a small amount to add to the prize money??..

Let me know, if enough people are willing, i'll get things rolling...

what kinda regulations do they have before running your car? like.. helmets, and harness stuff?

when are you planning this for baz? because SAU and WRX club already have a heathcote drag day for 6th May

Regulations are:

Long sleeves, Long pants, closed toe footwear, helmet.

All overflow bottles blocked off (grab your rubber flex pipe and put a 600ml water bottle over it).

That's pretty much it for heathcote.



Barry, PM me regarding your sponsor ideas and specifics, I might be able to come up with more or help you sort it all out. I'll be speaking with GSRSOL about all this too as he's been unofficially nominated as cruise planner. (I'm not sure if he knows it yet!). Kat proved useless unfortunately.

Gentlemen, I suggest we go sometime at the end of april/start of may (jus before winter) and then again 6 months later. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

I will endeavour to contact heathcote regarding a standing booking if you like. I NEED NUMBERS.

You'll be looking at a saturday if you want a private day. Otherwise you turn up with all the v8's on a sunday and everyone else for the "open" day.

Make your selection with your "I'm coming" post. 7th may is a sunday, 6th may is a saturday. And as far as I know it's not booked for the 6th may.

And if you bitch you can't make it on a saturday, i'm going to slap you personally as this is like 2 months notice. Anyone can sort themselves out for ONE DAY in two months time.

I would definitely be in! as long as im not workin, as my work is pretty random i have to work when i can. Other than that I will definitely be there! Once again i'll see who of my GSR/Galant owning friends are up for it, but no promises as they woosed out last cruise lol. Sorrry i cant be definite but thats how it goes!

SAU-Vic in conjunction with the WRX Club of Victoria are having what will become out annual...

DRAG CHALLENGE

We have been fortunate enough to attain a sponsor onboard for this event

Date: Sat 6th May

Venue: Heathcote

Time:
Gates open - 9am
Scruteneering - 10am
Racing starts - 11am - 4pm... with a lunch break at some stage.

Cost: $40 to race. $10 to spectate

There will be a separate cruise thread started in the next couple of days.

Come along, will be a banger of a day... plus you'll get to chop those pesky rexie's legally.
There will be trophies and other things on the day.

Classes are as follows

- Fastest/Consistent - GTR (so 2 trophies, one for each)
- Fastest/Consistent - GTS-t
- Fastest/Consistent - WRX
- Fastest/Consistent - STi
- Fastest/Consistent Intruder
- Highest MPH
- Most improved ET (from 1st run to last run)
- Shitbox Challenge winner
- Shitbox Challenge runner up

The Shitbox challenge will run in a DYO format.
You give me a time in the morning you think you'll run on your shitbucket.
And at the end of the day (3pm) you submit the times to me and we'll workout the winner based on how close they came to thier ET
If your planning some mods, get them on there ASAP.
We wanna see more lines than the rex's out there putting thier machines to the test.

This is a members only event for both clubs.
Anyone without membership will not be allowed to race.

One thing though i need to know is your car club CAMS affiltated...just for insuranc purpose's and the like.
