Whilst i cant directly compare tot he Apex items, i have seen the S-Techs in use and heard good things, they didnt sit particularly low (180sx)..bu the owner was very happy with the handling.

A spring by itself isn't going to give any performance benefit. You need to be asking about your suspension set-up for the purpose you are seeking. That is of course unless you just want the sticker? Sorry to be negative pal but saying "I've heard X brand springs are great" means shit!

Fair point, though a spring can still make a fair change to the handling of the car in terms of making it a great deal flatter during cornering..it may not neccesarrliy make it better throught the dips and bumps, but they are a good start.......

you really need to upgrade your shocks and springs at the same time to get a real benefit. If the shocks are not deisgned to suit springs (OEM shocks and aftermarket springs for example), the performance benefit will be minimal.

Rob dont be so technical.
Well, until you really start looking at shock rates, valving and the intended purpose for the suspension, that is really all they do.
You are far better off to use performance shocks with stock springs than to use stock shocks with "performance" springs as it's the shocks which really do all the magic (to a degree).

Thats better..agreed..though a performance shock (high end) wont realy match a stock spring much either..but still probably the better side of the 2 options to take.

Lowering springs are all pretty similar. All they do is lower the ride height a bit. On a whole they're generally softer than stock springs, (this makes sense if you actually think about it) the only handling benefit is the slightly lower centre of gravity, thats it. Whether you buy Tein or Apexi just depends on what you think sounds cooler to your mates.

As above, decent shocks make a bigger difference to handling, a set of shocks and springs working together is best.
