tell me whats the point???

Just in reference to organising a cruise... why is it we've got the time to fix up and go to all the trouble of making our cars all smick with spending heaps of our income on them but when it comes to getting together for a meet up or cruise everyone pikes out time and time again... i understand some work weekends and others cars arent finished yet but whats the excuse for the rest, is it the ball and chain(the Mrs) or what??? surely if it cant happen in 52 weekends in the year, when will it!!!!

Anyway I just thought u guys might wanna have your say too, cos i dont think im the only one pissed off when nothing happens here for us to meet up from time to time...

Maybe people just have different priorities compared to us steve? I love going to meets, it's good to talk about our cars with people who actually know something. Cruising is fun also, hey it's why i bought my car!

To me it seems like some people don't want to come if there car isn't 100% running. Well if it's in parts at the workshop then I understand but if it's still running at say 90% and it just needs a tune up, why not just come to the meet? Maybe the guys (Jayrome :lol can give you a hand if somethings wrong or something needs to be fixed.

People talk about cops aswell but I honestly think it's way over rated. Look at my car. It truly stands out like dog balls and I live in quite a bad cop area (broady + sunshine) and spend most of my weekends in the eastside yet I've only been pulled over and defected once in my 3 and a half years of owning the car. Luck maybe, but if you don't drive like an idiot, chances are you won't get pulled over, unless you get a bad cop.

i know i said i would come but i wasnt able 2 drive the hour plus to get to the meet point this morning,

for me its not the fact i wasnt able to drive there but the drive itself, i know i said i would go but i had 2 go into hospital this week.

people have lives and some might have kids but i live in emerald so thats a fair drive to me atm. im sorry, but thanks to G5R5OL and the guys that organised it.

we need 2 do cruises all over the state.

thats why we have sms cruises.. they are spontaneous (normally only 2hrs in advance notice) and last time we had about 14 cars show up.. and about 9 of them went on the twisty cruise.. was pretty good

was a very nice cruise and the pack sticked together and everyone enjoyed themselves

might have to organise another one later on.

I guess I have often thought "that would be a sweet cruise to go on" and such, but there is always something else to do, for me I own the car because I like how it drives, it could look like poo on a stick aslong as it still drove like an Evo.
