Thought I might share what I have to show.

All the work is being done by Will @ JHH Performance Engineering who owns a VERY nice HSG

Short Version.
JE Pistons
Eagle Crank
H-Beam rods (I think they're Eagle or Spool)
ACL Race Bearings
Balance shaft removal kit
etc etc

Here's where we're at so far!

Matt if you remove the doors and all the seats and maybe the dash, you could get the weight down enough to weigh close to an EVO3 :)

with the final build and power I think it should go pretty well!
pitty it will be a block of flats running down the strip!

maybe something like this could help?

Hahahahahahaha Well the bonus is, that the car is still more aerodynamic than a Volvo. :p

If I could pimp the RVR to be more like the van's there, I would. Speedbumps... Not a problem... We just dont drive the car

on a serious note, the RVR's aren't that heavy!

Update!!
The head is on.

1mm oversize stainless valves
Dual Valve Spring
Titanium Retainers
Bronze Manganese Valve guides
Kelford 272 Camshafts
Port match head to Hypertune Plenum and 6boost manifold

Just waiting on the cams to arrive and we can get the cover prepped and painted and back on!
Car is scheduled to be reassembled next week.

If anyone is looking for a set of Tomei 260 Cams, let me know as I have a set!

CluTZ why does it matter on the ratio or the turbo? You always find something wrong with my setup, so surely I'll never have the right answer.

Mate, if you don't want to answer some simple questions and share what you got going on with everyone- then keep all your specs to yourself and don't start threads on your build! You're starting to sound like an even bigger dick head than you already are.

Thought I might share

why does the comp ratio matter?

come on, you know why... the comp ratio is fairly important from a tuning perspective at the minimum, gives a good indication of how the engine will perform off boost and how much boost/timing the engine will take depending on the fuel used.

why does the turbo matter?

not sure if serious? but the turbo you pick combined with the compression ratio and cubic capicity of the engine, cams, porting, intake, intercooler yaaadaa yaadaaa also dictate how the engine will behave.

I think CLuTZ's question was more general interest for everyone reading rather than critique to spur a defensive response.

looks good by the way, hope you are going to smash some lbs into it and break stuff with it :D

to4, I was merely being a smart arse. Too often the same attitude is relayed to me, so I didn't both being serious. :)
I'm only aiming for 400hp at le wheels, but if I don't get there I'm not too fussed. It's a daily driver and with the purchase price of the vehicle and the bits bolted onto the car, I've still come out on top I think.

Motor is in, manifolds fitted, gearbox fitted.

Motec needs to be rewired for the wideband and rocker cover is set to be finished and completed today. Hoping I can have it running mid next week, though I'm not too fussed! :)

Turbo is a TD05 Big16G off an RVR with what appears to be a 20G Wheel using a hybrid SR20DET GT2560 water and oil cooled cartridge. I believe the outlet on the exhaust side was ported slightly and a few bits a long time ago.
Engine Compression is running ~8.5:1 and the motor should be able to handle 600-650hp if I bolt a bigger snail and tune on E85.

Lars get some Liqui Moly "Stop Tappet Noise" It works wonders!
I found I had a tick when I bought the car, after upgrading oils and a few flushes I didn't need it any more. Most people use the wrong oil for their environment more often than not. That or they use cheap oil in their motor because it "costs too much" ;)
