I would also like to know what sensor number 4 is, as mine isn't connected?

one of them is the air cond sensor.. if your car gets too hot, it kills the air cond

couldnt tell you which one though :?

The 2 on the lower front of the housing (I think 2+3 in the pic) are for the Gauge (single wire) and the ECU (2 wire).

I think the top one (4) is for the cooling fan(s), the other may be also for the fans
