Hi Guys,

has anyone mounted their throttle position sensor upside down?

it appears to be able to be spun around 180 and screwed on inverted, need to move it as the harness plug fouls on the strut tower brace.

If I do detach it, how hard is it to "re-tune" and is there anything special i need to do? can it be done without a diagnostic machine?

Help?

It appears to be able to be bolted on 180deg - see underside pic.

no clearance issues on the side of the throttle body at all - cannot believe i could be so simple, just need to unwind the harness out a bit to reach...

From memory pin 4 (top) is -ve and stays there +ve goes to pin 1 should read 4.75 to 5.00 ohms
Then move +ve to pin 2?? I think, with throttle closed it should read 900 or .9, if not twist it to suit, tighten, open throttle fully should read close to 5 ohms,

yep - easily spun 180deg and re-set to approx .82ohms (was .83ohms before removed)

easy as - here comes the strut-brace
