Entered my Starion for the first time as I was going to be MIA OS on out "bucket list" tour when the Pittsworth and Leyburn sprints are on so had to do something to help keep my skills? up.

Was a stinking hot day with a reported 36 deg max temps.

My RSR's were fine early but towards the end of the morning session became very greasy and had heaps of push thru turns 4/5 powering out on the clubman circuit.
Had a 63.68 time on the sprint track so have a target to better next time.

Managed to catch the 2 Mazda 3 MPS in the pic and get past one as well and managed to stay ahead of a yellow EVO who had far better corner speed but was able to pull away on the straights

Good on ya Oldie, good to see people getting on the track.

A guy over here called Murray Hynes runs a '82 Starion in our rallysprint series. Bugger me it's quick.

Found a pic of him. (think it's spitting out bits of valve or something!?)

As one ex politician was famous for saying "please explain ?? "

lol, Just meant that he's of an age that's probably similar to yours. (Based on your comments anyway)

Upside down miss Jane?

Astro boy?

Hogans heros?

MASH?

Tour of duty?

Well....... I'm about 38 :)

Rad's an old school guy driving an old school car (well kind of, but its still ground roots EFI turbo) and still tinkering away and showing the newbies up.
Reminds me of Anthony Hopkins in the Worlds Fastest Indian. Since Day#1 you do it for the love and you do it for who matters most = yourself
I read some of your history in an online newspaper article from a couple years back.
Much Respect.

Thanks mate  I love driving and want to compete as long as possible before handing the Starion on to my son who calls it "his inheritance" :)
PS The older I get the faster I was.

If he has helped you build it over the years then I can appreciate that. But if he hasn't lifted a spanner, screw the kids inheritance! You only live once! lol
Na, I know its a great legacy passing your pride and joy onto your son/s... or maybe even a grandchild you are close to.
My younger cousin Steven got his grandads bone stock XE Falcon. Im not really a fan of them, but he loves it and treats it just as good. Its still in original condition and well looked after.
