hey guys,
well a while ago i was driving my vr4 home from laverton when i noticed i had no boost and then oil was everywhere in the engine bay!
so when i got home i figured it was the turbo seals and oil had pissed everywhere...
after getting a brand new turbo from ATP and installing it i now have boost but car seems to blow blue smoke sometimes on accel or after decel when boosting...
first i thought might just be left over oil in muffler but it has kept doing it so i figure something has to be wrong...
I did a comp test and it says 140 across all cylinders, spark plugs dont seem to be oily at all running lean if anything... Valve stem seals are intact. however looking at the timing belt it looks like its a tooth out. also something has been rubbing on the belt on 1 side there a big groove on the left hand top of belt wearing it pretty thin...
my question is what are the symptoms of a timing belt being out?
car idles and runs fine as far as i can tell.
cheers Grant
