have just received a timing belt bearing kit through post, supposedly for a 97 hsg rvr. I have received three bearings, one skinny bearing obviously for the Gates T168 balance shaft belt, another larger bearing with a small ridge on the flat surgace (presumably belt guide) and with off centre bolt hole and two smaller round pin holes in centre. Believe the two smaller pin holes are for special MD adjustment tool. The third bearing is a GMb BT356 which is almost as wide as the timing belt but is pressed/rivetted onto a metal plate. I think this last bearing is wrong! Isnt there supposed to be a bearing with a flat roller surface and a concentric hole in the middle which bolts directly onto the cast rocker arm which is activated by the hydraulic tensioner?? Need to sort this one out before i pull the heap of sh.t apart.
