TIMING BELT

Hi Guys,
Just bored at work and want to have a vent because the timing belt is the only thing holding up MADEVO coming back to life so hear goes.

F**K YOU! YOU F**KING TIMING BELT!!! F**K YOU!!!! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST TENSION UP IN THE RIGHT PLACES YOU MOTHER F**KER!!!!!!!


I feel better now. Has anyone got the tensioning tool as mentioned in the VFAQ instructions on the intall of a timing belt??

I don't use the tensioning tool Alex. I use the drill bit method mentioned. Very easy to do

As above...I just recently did the belt, bearing, water pump etc on the Mrs car without either "special" tensioner tools, I used 8mm x 1.25 gal threaded rod $5/m @ Bunnings to keep the auto tensioner at the specified gap(4mm drill bit) and a long flat bladed screwdriver to put tension on the pulley/bearing, checked, double checked after turning motor over twice and had perfect belt deflection.
Very easy with a little ingenuity!!

Cars running sweet as now.
