After ages considering the new setup, its come down to how far I'm going to have to go with the driveline to support it.
At what torque levels are people stripping the stock 3rd and 4th gears in a 3.5 ratio W5M33 box- the most common vr4 box..
I'm aware of going evo 3, 3rd and 4th and the jacks HD gears, I'm asking only where the stock VR4 gears strip due to the torque.
I'm planning to rebuilt the box like a lot of the basic US stage 2 upgrades; steel shifters, 4 spider centre, centre diff torrington bearing upgrade.
I know people here have experience shredding the 3rd and 4th due to too much torque, so lets hear the destruction stories!
If you dont have dyno figures tell you setup like 2L or 2.3L and what turbo on what boost when it let go.
