Tow bars / Roof Racks

Hey guys,

Just wandering if anyone would know what other model lancer tow bars / roof racks are compatible with CC sedans / GSR / EVO 1 2 3 ?

Just by looking at the designs, I'd say roof racks to suit the CC / CE lancer wagon roof racks are compatible.

Also I would think CC coupe / CE coupe / CE sedan / CE Mirage tow bars would be compatible with CC sedans but need confirmation...

Hey guys just an update:

CE Sedan lancers have the same tow bar kit part numbers. Only issue you may encounter is the muffler fouling against the tow bar if your muffler is extra large etc.

i'm curious too we only have like 500kg towing capacity max 800 if it's braked

Alex these days insurance comps can make your rear end smashed car a stat write off. Miodrag lost his RVR thanks to Aami making his a stat.
So having a tow bar is not such a bad idea, even if you don't tow anything.

Angelos old cc coupe had a tow bar on the back, we just removed the part that sticks out

That's right guys some advantages are:

1/ if someone rear ends you they cop the damage!
2/ You can remove the tow bar tongue.

I want to tow my stunt/track bikes! They weigh bugger all (180kg each) and I reckon 2L awd is capable of towing more than 500kg anyway!

Regarding roof racks, does anyone know if there are models that fit the CC sedan? The ones I've found so far require holes to be drilled in the roof. That's a big no-no to me!

It not about the engine it's about the cars weight put to much on and you'll find you trailer doing the driving.

Dont laugh. Was a few centuras (cortina/ torana sized chryslers and my weapon of choice in my 20s) with the hemi engine that the back doors wouldnt close.

yeah i towed a car trailer with a ba ute on it with my ce lancer wagon... it was slow to start and the 15km's of braking to stop was fun lol
