Looking for info on rebuilding transfer cases. Mine needs a new coupler in it. So re-doing it while the box is apart. Any one got any info regarding it?

Got the new bearings, coupler and seals. No probs. But interested in preloads, clearances, torque settings etc. The only link I have found so far to any detail is this one:

My link

Found the complete manual, for gearbox, and transfer case. If someone can host I have the pdf.

Go to this link http://www.mediafire.com/ then press the big green button ;)
Once done. post the link it gives you back in this thread.

Bearings, and seals I purchased from Meek as a kit for $120. Not sure about shims, mine was sent away to be rebuilt.

if someone would like to send me a collection of all the manual commonly used i'll set up a private web host using my own equipment.

The link I provided above I extracted the section out of the transmission manual and uploaded just the transfer case part to keep the file size down.
The tranny manual in which it was contained is stickied in the tech section.
Khubner that sounds like a great idea. l can copy all my manuals collection onto Dvds and post it to you.
I will also include Wincaps and Asa amongst other stuff and the Vr4 manual, Fwd manuals for sedan, hatch, wagons and coupes (chassis and electricals).
That way I can also provide hi-res scans of some things.

I'm having the same idea, if Khubner can't, I can set up a webserver when I get some spare time. Could even make it specifically for 4gtuner.... Although I wonder how much traffic it would generate lol

Edit. Maybe not, turns out the ISP i'm switching too now charges uploads aswell. Bummer.

mine dosn't and i have a unix box here that i use to host my own files for when im out and about. it's ip specific so it'd require sending the stuff to me first i'd then put it on the box and generate a link.
