Tuning options for my Evo 8 MR motor

Need to settle on an engine management system for my 4G63 powered S13. The motor I have is an Evo 8 MR.

I could get a MoTeC and originally was, but for now, $$'s more important in other directions of the build.

I want a PowerFC which is more than suitable for my application (drifting), but I cant get a definite answer on if there is a model suitable for MR's or NOT.

Otherwise, what else. EMS, Link, Autronic. Anyone dealt with these systems on an MR and/or know pricing etc. Id prefer something to keep the standard harness.




BTW. Are 8MR turbos the same as E9's?

All depends on what u need done what mods and all the rest

I have a full complete Evo 8 motor, meaning plenum, exhaust manifold, turbo, loom, ecu etc.

The setup, engine wise, is pretty basic. GT3071R/76R hybrid turbo, denso 770cc injectors, custom plenum/exhaust manifold, engine management. If I could ditch the AFM, that would be nice.

he's had experience with autronic and wolf computers in mitsubishis.

autronics seem to be favoured, but it really comes down to your budget in the end. the wolf is a bit cheaper and still does the job but doesn't have as many features as some of the autronic computers

Or there are even a couple of guys who DIY on the 8MR & 9 ECUs and
are getting outstanding results
