Item: 1990 Mitsubishi Galant GSR
Location: Brisbane Southside
Item Condition: Mechanically excellent. Two aesthetic imperfections that would need attending to if your are as fussy as I am regarding the appearance of the car.
Reason for Selling: I cannot afford to keep it. :(
Price and Payment Conditions: $5000 FIRM
Extra Info:
This is a very reluctant sale, but I just can't afford the high octane fuel it requires while keeping my daily drive as I am a full time student now. :(
The asking price will only get me back what I've spent on the car, but I am looking for a quick, painless (or less painful) sale.
The cylinder head has just been rebuilt by UMR engines, fitted with brand new 3G revised lifters, exhaust manifold studs, valve stem seals, ACL headgasket, and rocker cover gasket set.
The gearbox has been recently rebuilt. It is an AWD GVR4 gearbox locked to FWD via welded centre diff. The locking mechanism was originally a welded viscous coupling which caused the planetary gears in the centre diff to fail which was a very costly experience :(.
Since then the centre diff has been replaced and welded by QLD specialised welding services and the viscous coupling has been done away with to prevent similar fate of spider gears.

The two things that I would have done if I could keep this car would be to fix the dent in the rear bumper bar which I accidentally made when I had to push the car around manually during the time the head was being rebuilt. I would also scuff back the paint on the rear quarter panel and give it a few coats of clear gloss to bring it shiny again.
The car will be sold without the Kahn wheels shown in the pics unless the buyer wants to keep them for another 1.5k.
The car has a modification certificate issued by PerFOURmance motorsport.
I have just renewed registration till 27/02/2010, however this will be cancelled unless the new owner is willing to pay an extra $400, in which case I will supply the safety certificate required for transfer of registration.
Thanks for looking. :)

The car is a bit dirty atm
