upgrade fuel pump ???

can someome tell me if i need to upgrade the fuel pump on a 4g63 conversion ?
i dont plan on changin much, maybe exhuast adn boost.

You can never have too much overkill at least you know you wont run out of fuel from the pumps, I run twin 044s for the "just in case" factor.

Look at his mods list he plans to run lol. 1 walbro will easily do that

you can get a intake fuel pump from bosch or walbro that flows like a 044, its a bolt in fuel pump from memory( just like the walbro 255)

Just drop a Walbaro 255 in the tank, pretty straightforward swap over. Wouldn't dream of using an external fuel pump in anything road rego'd.

I have one of these, nothing else done to the fuel system AFIAK.

I had pretty bad surging at the track, had to ensure I had a full tank.

Recently on the road, under heavy cornering, it did it again, with about 3/4 tank. What are the recommendations to do from here? I also hate the noise of the Walbro, it has a mind of its own, but can be very loud most of the time, sounds ridiculous. I've had it checked and there is nothing wrong with it.

I'd like to get back to the track but obviously need this sorted. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd go surge tank and external pump afterwards.
Use the walbro as a lift pump.

I would suggest its more to do with the fitment, mine was fine low on fuel on the skidpan, hillclimb and circuit??

I had an under car mounted 044 and surge tank on my old III if you scroll through my old thread you'll find a pic..heaps better under the back too
