hi all

looking for a bit of feedback on the planned changes to my GSR before I start putting it all together at the end of next week. the following parts have been sourced.

EVO 2 engine 122,00 km,ecu and loom from a halfcut will be used to get everything going in the short term, TD05 big 16g with evo 3 dump and some bling plug leads. a rebuild on another engine using an evo 1 head and vr4 6 bolt block with forged sps pistons and eagle rods is part way through

mechanical LSD gear box, transfer case and half shafts which i believe is evo 3 is on its way over.

front brakes will be evo off the halfcut, rear will be std GSR

exhaust will be 2.5 inch turbo back and will use high flow cat

rear mechanical lsd and half shafts will be used

adjustable konis and 30mm lowered kings springs
[thats why a 2.5 inch exhaust as Ive been told 3 inch has clearance issues on a lowered car]

evo 1 front mount intercooler and piping

exedy heavy duty clutch on standard flywheel

does anyone know of anything I should watch out for in installing or using this setup? Ive already done the pump and have a k&n panel filter along with a bleed valve and intend to run around 15 psi. what is the stock boost on an evo 2?

is there any advantage in using the evo 2 k frame and cast lower control arms?

cheers brian

sounds too good to be true, probably viscous.

Its tricky to get the rad fan and aircon to work with an EVO loom.

You should use a JASMA catback and standard cat.

adjustable konis and 30mm lowered kings springs

Built for low speed.(I would use the stock EVO spring and shock).

evo 1 front mount intercooler and piping

Stock cooler is nice, you will need a "Rivnut" kit to install it. (finish it off nicely with a "Meek" piping kit)

exedy heavy duty clutch on standard flywheel

Won't hold much abuse at all...the springs will fall out of the hub (seen it many times). They also rattle to buggery.

If you don't want them, give em to me! (yes much better, wider track)
