This car is a rally import. It needs little work (oversized radiator, securing of intercooler and oil cooler).
If interested, please call me on 0425 750 039 mobil or 9702 8537 home. I live in Hampton Park, VIC.
the running gear on this car is evo 3, motor, gearbox, diff,

$6,000

i was renting at a unit and the contract did not allow me to have unregisterd vehicles there so i put on some old plates i had lying around,

the car is a rally import and cannot be registerd on the road.

can you provide more details?

such as kms, condition, mods etc.

a few more photos would be good too.

the clock has 98 thou klms
the motor is in very good condition, runs very smooth and is NOT noisy like most evo motors, the motor is believed to have only done about 45,000 klms befor it was put into the evo 2 chassie.

although you cannot register this car the running gear for those who want to do a conversion is ideal, you will not be disapointed on how smoothe and quiet the engine runs,

those intrested let me know asap because i will not have the car up for sale for much longer

For those who are interested, i have seen this car.

It doesnt have:

Front Recaro's
Oz Racing Rims
Evo Radiator

It is also a CD9A which to my understanding is an EVO I (tho i could be wrong)

Its not a bad looking car and it sounded ok when i fired it up.

Im not bagging the guy who is selling the car, just giving an honest opinion upon inspection of the vehicle.

LOL !!!!!!!!!!! my car was imported for rally use and its on the road.

properly road registered or rally registered? rally registration allows you to drive on the roads only if your driving to an event or to a workshop.

If its properly road registered, then you must have imported it before the laws tightened up on it, coz it definately cannot be done now.

as far as i know i have not yet seen an evo 1,2,3 that has been properly registerd on the roads, every one that i have seen is dogy and i can guarentee if you get pulled over by a vic roads oficer and inspects your car he will take it of you.
the name evo does not exist on the registration papers as far as i know, it is either a GSR, or a Standard CC lancer that has been properly converted, or id tags just been changed,

Changing Id tags is very dangreous these days because they have scanners that can detect a weld in the flywall,

By the way for thoes people who do not believe it is an EVO 2 Ring up RALLIART Give then the number and find out for yourself because this is what i have allready done.

Haha, this is Australia mate- Ralliart dont know jack.

If it has CD9a on the firewall, its Lancer Evolution I. If its CE9a, its Evolution II.

I'm not trying to kill your buzz or anything- but its kind of good to know what your selling.

If you still think your CD9a is a lancer EVO 2, HERE's a link for you

Please note that if your not interested in the sale of this vehicle please dont post anything in regards to it.

In relation to whether it is an EVO I/II it is up to the purchaser/owner to figure this out.

So if your not interested in purchasing this vehicle please keep all comments to yourself, if you feel that you need to say something about please pm the seller.

Thanks

Jon

I drove this car a few weeks back ...

this was one of the smoothest earlier model evo's that ive driven, ( i've driven and owned a few ) i was very impressed wit the car, the motor and the box are in very good nick.

As for the body does it really matter if its a 1 or 2 ???

i was planning on buying this and a standard lancer and simply change the plates over when i felt like driving a evo , but common sence prevailed in the end.

Still looking thou for a RS to come up for sale
( might be wating a while )
