Use of another's name and claim of others titles

Not sure how many of you will be familiar with this, or even give a flying proverbial.

However,

It has recently come to my attention that there is a BLUE 2011 Proton Jumbuck getting around SA, the fellow has what looks like an S.W. PLatt Bullbar on the vehicle, a pair of Western Star rear mudflaps, and in the image I saw, a single 7ft UHF Aerial with 2 roof mounted Light Force spotlights.

The tailgate of this vehicle, like mine, has been altered to read "RUMBUCK"

Now, the use of the name of my vehicle, whilst irking me slightly, is not really a problem, it is what he has been doing with the vehicle that annoys the hell outta me.

This "gentleman" is claiming the following:
  • 3rd Best B'n'S (Post 1990) - Wodonga Ute Show 2011
  • 1st Loudest 4 Cylinder - Corryong 2011
  • 3rd Loudest 6 - Wodonga 2011
Now, I mean, THOSE ARE MY GODDAMN ACCOLADES, AND I WORKED DAMN F**KING HARD TO WIN THOSE, THEY ARE MINE, THEY ARE MINE, THEY ARE MINE!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone else here ever witnessed this kind of behaviour, actions, or such before?? And does anyone agree or disagree that I should be pissed??
 
Many moons ago I was watching Rodney Crick race his truck around Oran Park.
He smashed his truck into the wall which caused a large piece of metal the size of a kitchen sink (that covered the fuel tank) to soar up into the sky, over the fence and clobber me in the head.
It knocked me off my chair by about 3 metres and I passed out for a few moments.
I recall being in an ambulance with Rodney Crick, he was in a neckbrace and I was getting the bleeding on my forehead and forearm attended to.
At hospital I was given a tetanus shot and some pain killers to reduce the migrane in my head.
At the end of the day I will never forget that Western Star makes trucks!!
Therefore I have 2 questions:
1. What the fuk are bullbars and Western Star mudflaps doing on utes?
2. They give out prizes for that? lol

I can understand your frustration and annoyance at somebody replicating your car AND accomplishments. I've always been protective of my car and what I've done to it - I have what I have through alot of money, time, hard work and literally blood, sweat and tears. Although I believe in helping out fellow enthusiasts and get enjoyment from seeing how others have built their cars, I won't hand things over on a silver platter that I've worked hard to achieve so that I have something unique and individual. Selfish? Maybe/maybe not.

At the end of the day mate - you can't stop people doing what they're going to do and you just need to accept that shit happens, you don't need to like it, but you just need to accept it. Besides - "Imitation is the highest form of flattery".
 
i beileve in revenge..... but i doubt he is achieved what you have so its hard, i mean people can say get over it but you wouldnt stand for it if someone took your real name and claimed your life now would you. your personal achievements are YOURS not theres, best you can do is shut down what ever he says if hes posting on forums or something just post on there hes a fake (if you can have photo proof add it for more proving case). people may not understand that letting him getting away with it allows him to trash your name and reputation eg. your a wannabe of him

I take it these were in two different cars (1st Loudest 4 Cylinder - Corryong 2011, 3rd Loudest 6 - Wodonga 2011)?

And yes, I'd be a bit pissed if he was using my persona to trash my name and reputation...but there's not much you can do other than stalk him online :ph34r: and counter any claims he makes with proof that he's lying.
 
Coming from someone that's done sorta similar not the achievements but the name have proven your the copy cat rumbuck already so u can't talk

Did you join up just to tell us that? Pm me your email and I will forward it to rumbuck and you can have it out with him cause we dont care who first changed their ute sticker to say rumbuck. Ffs
 
I think if someone is wanting to copy your ideas it's a sign your doing something right.

As for claiming someone's achievements that's a little low but there isn't much you can do about it unless you run into him in person

it to scare normal folks away? cos when ever i see a ute like that i kinda get scared and think yall gonna take me for a ride and man rape me or somefing?.
