is it possible to have the "Location" profile field mandatory for new users?

Hey to4garret,

Just checked - location field IS mandatory. I tried to register a new account without filling the location field and got an error. I also remember testing new facebook registrations, 'location' field was always required. Do you see any new members without the location field?

Yes, members older than one year may not have the location field entered. Last year, when we switched to the new forum software the conversion tool was not able to correctly move the 'location' field. We then asked members to manually re-enter, but not everyone did.

You mean I had to manually re-enter everyones lol.
Some I didnt get to, as it was impossible for me to get to all of them, but most active users that have posted within the last year would have their location filled in.
But basically from then on in, for new members it was mandatory upon registration.
