Hey

I have speed density and my FPR running off my manifold, all stock, I need another source for my blow off valve? Any quick help someone could give me where I can tap into, all the throttle body lines are blocked off because I no longer use my egr and boost Solonoid.

Cheers Brock

JDM manifolds have 3 ports

What’s wrong with using a T-piece on your Aus manifold?

Speed Density and Fuel Pressure Regulators are recommended to operate on their own dedicated source don't they? I did have a T-piece in but i think my BOV was playing with the fuel Pressure so i changed it around just to be sure that it wouldn't be changing my fuel pressure making it impossible to tune.

Thats what they say.

I have not had any problems running my FPR with the reference for the microtech. Maybe try the bov on its own?

Are you running the stock FPR? If so, along with a high flow pump you may be having problems with the return.

is the FPR running direct from the plenum? or through the stock cut off solenoid?

I personally think that it is a good idea to T piece the FPR and MAP because they are then both closely related and an error can quickly be identified when tuning.

If your map readings are off, then your fpr would be seeing a similar problem.
Also the lines are rather short wheras blow off valves and wastegates (which should be positive pressure only anyway) usually have longer lines.

The shorter the lines the better.

I used to have it FPR and BOV together and MAP as always separate, the map line has a 6mm hose connected and my BOV is 3-4mm, its a Greddy type S that has two ports on top. One connected to manifold pressure and one connected to boost pressure. So I would need a t piece with 2 6mms and 1 3-4mm on it to run my BOV.

strange question... are you still running the EGR Valve? or a block off plate??

since the EGR is already blocked off, tap one side of the plate for the vac line for your BOV...... will make a clean install....

it would be an idea, but for now i want to keep it factory looking, i don't want any defects and it looks stock now with vacuum lines going to the EGR but does nothing.. i think i will just T piece for now untill i get a new manifold from ebay and put extra ports on it if needed.

Cheers. Brock
