lol i wonder y pete..... starting to port the exhaust side this week end.... but no one seems to know were i can get good valves......

i can get you a set of FERREA valves, springs, retainers, and spring seats if you are interested, will let you know a price tomorrow night/friday

yer cools GVR40 bro if ya can, and grab the product number off ya too... i think i can get the boys from down here to get them as long as i tell them what were lookin for lol....

i swear the Super Cheap Auto guys down here are useless, wish we had guys like you that know what there actually doinz.....

did your valve guides crack? my head looked similar and most of the valve guides cracked aswell.

nah they still look good, but i might change em, to make it easier for polishing... is it hard to take them out? considering i couldnt find a tool to take the valves out?

valves are easy to take out, puttin them back in is a pain, for the valves get a spark plug socket and grind out about 1/3 of it at the front (if you want you can weld a washer on the end to make it easier, i didn't) and then put that on the end of a standard valve spring comressor.

to take them out get an old deep socket and a short extension and give it a hit with a hammer this will make the collets jump off the valve and leave them in the socket.

this is what my socket looks like for putting them back together

nah bro thats way too much fuken around lol..... just garb the largest G clamp you can find and a hole punch that has the same size hole as your spring plate holder thingy.... weld it together and presto...... this way you can get to the valve clips from both sides...... easy to put in and take out and less dangerous.......

ok what tools will i be needing to take the valve stems out?

haha funny that i have a similar tool just like urs JayRome.

edit: why didi repeated myself twice stuff if i know, i wish there was a delete icon for this kind of problems

taking the guides out will make it easier to port, they are a bitch to knock out though, even worse to get in. i sent mine off to get the guides knocked out.

i got new bronze guides and stainless valves through meek.they ordered the valves in for me, the guides were in stock

oh cools how much did you pay for the guides and valves in total?

the stainless valves were $220 cant remember how much the guides were.

these were the best option i could find at the time.

still sounds good for an entire set, i'll try calling Mits nere me and ask how much OEM ones are.... But $220 for ss valves arnt bad.....
