Hi i am new to this site as i have now bought myself a GSR... its been my dream car for ages... i owed a skyline but sold that cause it just sucked! i now have myself a GSR that is just the best! i am entering it into the easternats n have told all my other friends with GSR's EVO's N V8's to join in the fun! its easy to enter u will have a ball! the web address is http://www.easternats.com/ the dates of the easternats is SATURDAY 15th TO MONDAY 17th APRIL, 2006, but if u r entering in your car u will have to also show up on the Friday so they can look over your car n make sure its safe n ok!!! u can print off your entry from from the easternats web site... I hope to be seeing more evo's n GSR's their this year... its coming really soon so hurry... Try keep a look out on me, i'm driving a GSR, number plates "SXYGSR" burgandy in colour, u wont miss it out on that track, TRUST ME, please write back so i can keep a look out on some of use who enter in! I've been to Easternats last couple of years in my evo and going around the track its a buzz.You will love it.I wont enter this year due to work but i will go on Monday and have a look.

well try come, have your cars ready... i will be their on the monday to get the car looked at n the sticker put on the front windscreen... Hope to see more of use their... Its still weeks away... plenty of time to get ready!

i had Seen that in carsales for a while now. was tempted to go have a look at it since he had droped the price.
what you get it for in the end if ya dont mine me askin?

im also new to owning a GSR :) flew up to Newcastle and got mine last week

mad so your in... yeah this was the one from carsales he originaly wanted like $21,000 for it... he was dreaming... i got it for $17,000 with a roadworthy... he has been having so many probs getting the roadworthy... it has been failing for alot of things... so he offered it without one... n i said NO! hahaha so yeah... its not loward anymore, but i dont care, the car is that fucken fast its not funny... i sold my 1996 skyline cheap as to get this car.... the skyline sold for $15,200 with a roadworthy... n man was it sick... i had around 4 phone calls a day asking about it.... but now i have this gsr made me so happy... how ever i still love the evo's better... but i might just end up sticking the evo motor n gear box in this one...

So i hope to see u their, cause i will be their FOR sure! u wont miss my car, n i will keep a eye out on yours... still hopping more ppl r comming...
 
I thought that it was a 2L as thats what he had originally put in his ad on car sales/autotrader.
He first wanted $25000 for it and it was supposed to have a evo bonnett as well

Excuse my ignorance but what is the easternats? Drag racing?

*EDIT* I just checked the site out- do you guys think my car would be less than 95db 30m away from the track??

*DOUBLE EDIT* I just looked at the results from last year, are you sure "jappas" are welcome?
 
nah man there was a fair few "jappa's" there last year. Heaps of skylines, vl's, few scoobies and a few evo/gsr's. But none of them were real serious (no offence any1 that was there). Clutz if you are consistent you could turn a few heads!! :twisted: but don't get me wrong there are some farkn mean v8's there!!!
98% chance i will be there!!

but seriously... the cars their are sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!..

i was driving out during the sunday everybody was leaving and maaaaan all the bug catchers and coppers waiting outside... our jap cars would look like childs play!!

but i heard more and more imports are joining...

expensive though.. thats the thing..

I fucken rekon... If u entre in the easternats... when u leave after each day take it easy, when i left last year on the monday their were a Full line of cops waiting for each car with the easternats sticker on the windscreen for a hot car to go past... Luckery this yeah my car will be roadworthy but i am adding nos into it, so i'm going to have to disconect that... Look out when having 17 inch wheels on, they will fuck u over with that... i'm putting 15's on mine... will look shit, but as long as the car goes i will be happy... Also when u take your car out on the track, their is heaps of rubber on the ground, n your tyres will pick it all up, n fuck up your wheels... i tryed to get some second hand tyres for the 17's but couldent find cheap ones... oh well the 15's will do just fine... so we have around 3 ppl comming so far! i want more evo's n gsr's PLZ! their r way to many VL's n V8's their... hehe so try help out, n i would mind seeing so of your cars so i can get so new ideas on my car!... Just please be careful of cops when u go! they r not nice hahahah... if u need to find out where sand down is located plz go to the web address www.easternats.com

yeah checking the site out.. not many jap cars at all.. guess some of us have to go out and show em how it's done :p.. don't think ill enter tho.. i'll come for support :p
 
yeah it is great to watch... but i was hoping for more evo's n gsr's this time, they only had like 2-4 last time... heaps of skylines... but yeah mostly old done up cars n V8's really... shame i prob wont have the NOS ready... hope to see ya their
 
are you entering track or drags?
if i read the rules properly for the drags, you can only have one of (supercharger, turbo, nos) installed on your car to be eligible to enter.. unless you want to take out ur turbo :p..
 
hey sxygsr i will down there i was going to enter in my dunniedoore in the burnout comp but have no money lol

but will be down there for sure pm me ur mobile number and u will have to take me for a spin in the gsr see what it has on the vr4 lol :lol:
