Just a quick rundown of the situation with my vehicle.
Originally purchased after test drive from Yahoo Motorsport in Adelaide.
Yahoo Motorsport
www.yahoomotorsport.com -> http://home.iprimus.net.au/~jverban/
John Verban.
Car was paid for in full and shipped via Adelaide Car Express to Laverton where I picked it up. At this point I could skip to the end.
Car was taken back to my residence where initial compliance work was undertaken. (Mirrors, Seatbelts, random interior bits etc). Car was serviced in this time, all fluids changed etc.
Car was taken to Melbourne for final compliance work. UP Imports (UPI) in Moorabbin (www.upimports.com.au) completed compliance requirements... Side Intrusion bars, Child Restraint points, final check. Engineer's Certificate obtained. Please note the car took a total of THREE working days to complete at UPI so I cannot recommend this enough.
Car returned to Ballarat. Local RWC obtained. Paperwork taken to Vicroads where registration was obtained.
This is both a personal note and an indication of the process after a vehicle arrives. You can just drop the vehicle off to a workshop instead of doing anything yourself, but expect it to take longer than three working days . UPI has informed me they'll comply just about anything as well, so all you guys who want john verban's two cyborgs etc... well just dump them. Prices are reasonable.
