hey guys, things have progressed slowly but well, 4000 kms into the fresh motor and all is good with everything on the std ECU.

i finally get around to putting the Vipec , vr4 Plug n play in. and its not exactly plug n play ( might be for a US or Aus spec), unless "play" means your outputs and input might be right, but most likely not!!!!!!

so i'm now waiting for time to be available to trace wire colours from the respective inputs/ outputs in the car. and make sure they are correct and matching in the vipec setup.

things like cyclone control, aren't mentioned ( probably cause its j-spec vr4 specific). but its the things like the idle speed motor working backwards to what it should, apparently the AC is being called for, meanign the idle speed is increased, despite the climate control being off.
so its not really a small 1 person job to sort out.

I have succeed in correcting the idle stepper motor issue, but still cant get a good idle ( might be the water heated section of the throttle body screwing it all up).

I'm booked in for a tune in a weeks time, but there isn't much point if i cant sort the inputs/ outputs and haven't at least sorted a control mechanism for the cyclone butterfly/ solenoid.

anyway. has anybody else with a j spec ever put a vipec in, and if so, what did you have the inputs/ outputs set as. would save me a lot of time with the multimeter and wiring diagrams tryignt o sort out what's what.

thanks, Melv :)
