Hey dude, the VR4 turns on the AC everytime you reconnect the battery. Does your clock reset?
Check your battery voltage while you're cranking the engine. It could be dropping as the starter motor draws alot of current.
Has it always happened or just recently?
Your battery might be on it's way out or the battery terminals might be loose/corroded.

There is a wire to connect at the head unit. Somebody will know.

12v constant is cut, so loses its memory. Likely been used to supply 12v to the headunit as baz said.

i'm taking it you have a aftermarket head unit installed?

Da clock doesn't reset but I got the car with a different head unit....that must explain it! Thanks for the help

as said it is probably being used for the head unit memory wire, just need to splice into that wire with the wire that is in the back of the air con.
