Ok sweet guys, thanks for the replies. If I'm going to have to go to that much effort, I'll just buy new ones and get the rails fabricated.
Baz, I'd still like to hear what type of rails you are using though. The rails in the hyperlink don't look overly complex. Thanks mate.
