Hey guys. So I've got my gsr back up and running after too many years... Since then plenty of mods have been made. I'm currently a half sized 3 core radiator, with a custom air dam on the front. I am however, when idling, (as there some work to do on basic tune) my temp gauge is reading well high, but on my haltec tuner gauge page I am only reading between 86-88°c. Is it possible the dash sender is shot? It does come up ridiculously fast. There are 2 sensors on the thermo housing. One is a single terminal and the other is a two terminal, which I'm confident the haltec is reading as it's a haltec loom. Thoughts? Just want to know whether the half sized rad is doing it's job before I get on the dyno.

From memory, the 2 wire sensor is to do with the A/C or ECU.
The single wire goes to the dash.

Best to get confirmation from somebody else on the forum.
It's been a while.

Well I'm pretty confident it is the gauge itself. As with ignition on and the sender disconnected it reads a 1/4 already. Also as I mentioned the haltech is reading 86°c

I suspect this cluster has been tampered with as when I got the car initially, the taco was off and that's all it took was turn the needle back....
