VZ Coomodore

Help Support 4GTuner:

Wouldn't be that hard at all mate - just study the clipping strategy we used (I work for Holden Engineering!) to hold the indicators in place and cut the guards properly.

Would be an interesting look on a Coupe, am keen to see pics of you go ahead with it.

100 hrs total!? Fark! I'd hate to pay a workshop for that sort of time! $$$

I guess having not done it myself I can't really say how easy/hard it would be to do, esp if you want a good job and put the time and effort into getting it just right.

I'd look at using the existing VZ guard cutout as a template and transferring it to a 'practice' coupe guard to see where you need to modify things to get it right.

I am sure that if you didn't have a huge attention to detail (get all the margins spot on), you could easily cut that time in half; but from memory, it took around 100hrs all up to perform this mod on this particular car.

Fastest way to do it would be to literally cut it out of a vz's guards and cut the hole in yoru own guards matching the shape of the sheet metal. From memory vz guards are VERY VERY straight around that point and thus it shouldn't be too hard.

100 hrs to do that to a cordia? Who did it? Wouldn't have been a professional.

it does look good..

dont know if anyone knows the WYTNYT?? wrx.. he did it on his car.. looks tough.

that cordia looks mean.. tim/frontn was having a go at doing it.. not sure if he did or not... mebbe pm him :)

Yeah, I saw that White Night WRX on an Ignition DVD. :)

That cordia looks mad! (I didn't think I'd ever say that :p)
Massive rotors up front, and I can't see anything on the rear. Do they have drums on those?

Good luck with this joshuafreeman, keep us updated. ;)
