If I am making a right hand turn and half way through the turn floor it the car will start to go then just cut out. No popping or miss firing it will flat cut out like it shut off. I will shift to 2nd floor it again and it will take off.
It does not do this on a hard left turn. Only on a right hand turn. It's not low on fuel cause it will do it with a full tank.
Any ideas???

Car is a Evo 1. Pretty much stock with a exhaust, boost controller and ecm link.

Your steering or gear shift system must be interfering with some wiring somewhere. When you turn I suspect you're in 1st or 2nd gear?

Do the following whilst in a driveway with the engine on:
i) Leave car in neutral, turn right and see what happens... return steering wheel to normal position. If nothing happens then go to ii)
ii) With engine on, put foot on clutch, shift to first gear, leave your foot on the clutch whilst you do a full lock right turn to see what happens. Knock car back to neutral. If the car cuts out then you know your shifter cables behind the dash are interfering with some wiring behind here.

Do with engine off.
iii) Shift to 1st gear, go into engine bay to see if the shifter cables that connect to your gearbox shifter arm is contacting any electrical wiring.
iv) Make sure your AFM plug is all the way in and that the AFM piping is clear of the shifter cables whilst you have someone shift through all the gears with the engine off.

yep I would agree it is a wiring issue. check ECU is pluged into harnes properly too

but do as Rob has mentioned.
It may not have antthing to do with the shifter but it is the first place I would start.

Another check ... see if your tacho drops when it cuts out ie: drops like no power not slower as in decel.
this will indicate whether it is ecu related of other wiring.
for it to cut out it can only be ECU, MPI relay, CAS plug, Coil Plug or battery

I had a similar issue with my fwd tank. Power would cut when turning right hard. But only on a half or less tank. Once I put awd tank in with pump it disappeared

My car doea thus with a full tank of gas.

I checked the shifter cables and they do not touch anything.
When sitting still I turned wheel all the way to right and nothing abnormal.
When it does cut out when i floor it making a right turn the tack drops as it I lifted off the gas pedal. Oil and coolant gauges stay normal and radio or nothing else goes off. It's like you just through the car in neutral and lifted you foot from the gas.
nothing else goes dead.

Yep sounds like what I had. Had to restrict your throttle going around corners and baby it. Could it be pump related, pump dying?

Yep, Gianni could have nailed it on the head. If its not doing it when you're sitting stationary with the engine on then its not going to be the issue.... unless a wheel is hitting some aftermarket messy wiring in the front wheel arches.
If you have access to another fuel pump, chuck it in and give it a go.

are you at boost when this happens? could it be boost cut?? would think it would happen on the left turn too.

but as we drive on the left we tend to corner harder on the right as that is our easiest corner to see.(more confident = faster and more right peddle = more boost)
I know mine will crack 20 PSI no problems in 1st.

The car has ECM Link installed which I'm pretty sure eliminates boost cut. The car is also converted to speed density. It had this problem prior to going speed density also.
I have a hard time believing its the fuel pump. I can make 1/4 mile passes launching off the studder box. Car will spike 25psi of boost durring the 1/4 mile pass with out issues.
It only does this when making a hard right at 100% throttle about half way through the turn while in boost.
Car has a evo 8 fuel pump installed. I guess I'll change it out for a higher flowing pump just to eliminate the pump as the problem.

Get this too, and on hard left as well on under 1/3 full tank when in WOT acceleration.
Lost it big time at Haunted Hills because of this.
Techsport recommended putting a 6 tank in which is re-designed for just this problem.
